The Association for Physical Education (afPE) is the only PE Subject Association in the UK.

They provide quality assured services and resources, and valuable professional support for our members and the physical education, school sport and physical activity sector.

This includes public liability insurance of up to £10 million .

Full Member & Option 3a Insurance

This category of membership is aimed at personnel with QTS or individuals without QTS who have a higher or professional qualification and accept the aims and values of, and support the work of the Association. Such as: Consultant, Lecturer, PE Teacher (Primary & or Secondary), PLT, Head of Department, Director of Sport/Specialism, LEA Adviser/Inspector/Advisory Teacher, SSCo, PDM, Other.

 Insurance Cover

Membership includes comprehensive insurance cover to protect you whilst you are taking part in the delivery of physical education in schools and in the wider community. The cover provided through afPE, supplements and, in most cases, may well enhance any cover held through schools or Local Authorities. Most Public Liability policies do not provide any cover for Professional Indemnity – Injury resulting from coaching/instruction – which is included with the afPE cover as standard.Your comprehensive cover includes:
